"I can't imagine any people more suited to a job...They made a very heartbreaking situation more bearable"

When our beloved dog, Willy, died unexpectedly our vet sent his body to Paws Whiskers and Wags. Laurie and Jill were the ones who helped us with arrangements for his cremation and receipt of his remains. I also had communication with Cindi. I can't imagine any people more suited to a job. I never got the feeling that this was just a job for them. They made a very heartbreaking situation more bearable because of their kindness.

"They really did all they could to make the whole ordeal easier for us"

We were, of course, completely devastated when we lost our little boy in the early hours of the morning - though he had been sick, we weren't at all prepared. I held him in my arms until Paws, Whiskers & Wags was open and called to find out procedures, etc. When we took him in, they were so very kind and compassionate & seemed to truly feel our grief & pain; they then ushered us into a nice "living room" and told us to take as much time as we needed with him before they took him. They really did all they could to make the whole ordeal easier for us. A truly wonderful thing that they do is to have an annual memorial service for the families of all the pets who have been cremated there; they encourage people to send in pictures and then show a montage on a large screen of all of the pets, with their names above the pictures - it was so moving, and I was amazed that there were hundreds of people at the lovely little ceremony. It was all very touching and moving, and we left with a little votive candle with Widget's name on it.

"respectful and obviously 'animal people'"
Last updated 1 year ago
I recently lost my precious dog and was at a loss as what to do. I called before working hours and the manager told me what to do. They sent someone to get my baby, because she was too large for me to transport. They were very respectful and obviously "animal people". They made the entire process more bearable. They were also very upfront on the costs of everything which was nice b/c I was to upset to even ask. I dealt with the owner and the manager and was extremely relieved that they were able to do everything with minimal input from me.

Most wonderful and caring people helped me thru a rough time. My beloved Ava suddenly died and they were so wonderful to me. I couldn't have asked for more consideration that they gave.

"very professional and made a horrible, gut wrenching experience a little less difficult"

We had to put our beloved Beagle friend to sleep last weekend. It was the most difficult thing I've ever had to do. She has left a huge hole in our hearts and home. We were both devestated and I was so worried about how she would be handled after passing.
